Leaves up to as long as the stems ; leaf blade flat with prominent midrib . Inflorescence lax , open , paniculate ; spikelets sessile , solitary , ovoid , 2-5 × 1 . 2-1 . 5 mm , apex acute to subobtuse ; glumes golden brown or brown , shortly mucronate . Fruits nutlet , white or pale yellowish brown , obovoid , obscurely 3-angled , verruculose with transverse ridges , papillate . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 4) .
