Spikelets linear to narrowly oblong , 5- to 30-flowered , the longer spikelets often facately curved , the florets disarticulating in groups from above , some lemmas also falling , their paleas persistent for a short time ; glumes equal , lanceolate , acute ; palea equaling or exceeding the lemmas , the keels scabrid .
