Inflorescences terminal and axillary , comprising a single raceme subtended by a narrow spatheole , bearing imbricate spikelets and with 2-3 homogamous pairs at the base . Raceme 1 . 5-4 cm long , the slender peduncle often markedly falcate . Sessile spikelet elliptic-oblong . Pedicelled spikelet elliptic , obliquely winged , awnless .
