Panicle narrowly triangular to narrowly lanceolate in outline , lax , up to 20 cm long , the primary branches erect or somewhat spreading , bare of spikelets in the lower quarter to third . Spikelets 1 . 2-1 . 6 mm long . Fruits caryopsis oblong-ellipsoid , truncate at the top .
