Inflorescence of 2-7 racemes on an axis 1-9 cm long ; racemes 1-7 cm long , bearing single or paired spikelets on a narrowly winged rhachis . Spikelets elliptic , acute . Fruits caryopsis broadly elliptic to subrotund in outline , strongly dorsally flattened .
