Woody-based perennial herb ; up to 50 cm high . Stems erect to ascending or creeping , much branched , rooting at the nodes , sparse to dense pubescent with long spreading hairs . Leaves opposite , 15–65 × 10–30 mm , broadly ovate to ovate , apex obtuse , base attenuating into the petiole up to 20 mm long , margins entire , sometimes somewhat undulate , pubescent on both surfaces . Inflorescences solitary at each node of terminal or axillary racemes ; pedicels slender , up to 20 mm . Flowers white with mauve to purple stripes in throat ; calyx 5–6 mm , segments unequal , linear ; corolla white with mauve to purple stripes in throat , palate wrinkled , 16–25 mm , with 5 equal lobes . Fruit capsule , 18–20 mm , with long hairs , dehiscing by 2 valves . Seeds 4–5 . 5 × 4–4 . 5 mm , flattened , tuberculate . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
