Barleria parviflora R.Br. ex T.Anderson

This species is native to NE Tropical Africa and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 8 species of Barleria found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Subshrub ; up to 40 cm , simply or much branched . Stems simply or much branched , branches with closely adpressed white hairs . Leaves ovate-elliptic , obtuse , rounded at the base , sessile , when young with some medifixed hairs on the margin , when mature nearly glabrate . Inflorescences cymes lax , 1–3-flowered . Flowers white ; corolla (whole length) 2/3 in . , or scarcely more ; ovary with 2 ovules in each cell , lower minute . Fruit capsule , 1/3 in long , pubescent , beaked , 2-seeded .
