Leaves opposite , 8–12 × 3–4 mm , decreasing in size upwards , oblong-lanceolate to narrowly elliptic , apex acute , base rounded to attenuate , margins entire , ± pubescent ; petiole 1–2 mm . Inflorescences in lax axillary paniculate cymes ; bracts 2 , unequal , linear- lanceolate , ± 10 mm , subtending 2 flowers ; bracteoles 2 , subtending the flower , 4–5 mm , lanceolate .
