Leaves , opposite , up to 6 × 15 cm , sessile , dark green , broadly lanceolate , apex acute , base tapering into a short petiole , margins entire , glabrous to pubescent . Inflorescences borne between dense bright green bracts , 10–11 mm , on an upright terminal spike . Flowers greenish-white ; calyx 3–7 mm ; corolla greenish to pale yellow-green , tubular , lobed above ; tube ± 25 mm ; lobes 13–18 mm , the lower 3 spreading , upper lobe emarginate . Fruit , capsule , 18–24 mm , glabrous , 2-seeded . Seeds large , green with a lumpy surface . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
