Leaves 15–30 × 3–4 mm , linear-lanceolate , apex acute , base tapering into the petiole , margins entire , with prominent pale veins , densely ciliate-pubescent . Inflorescences solitary in the axils of leaves , subsessile ; bracts absent ; bracteoles 16–18 mm , linear-oblanceolate , pubescent . Flowers short-lived , pale purple , fragrant ; calyx lobes linear , 6–8 mm , strigose ; corolla pale purple , pubescent without , tubular ; tube ± 12 mm , expanded and 5-lobed above , lobes 8–10 mm , rounded , spreading ; stamens 4 , included ; anthers parallel ; style persisting in mature capsule .
