Erect annual herb ; up to 50 cm tall , sometimes with a woody root-stock . Stems several , arising from the base , grooved , grey-green , glabrous or pubescent . Leaves alternate , pinnately lobed ; leaflets 10-25 mm long , deeply segmented to lobed with lanceolate to linear segments , entire to coarsely dentate , pubescent ; petiole 2-10 cm , sheathing at the base , pubescent . Inflorescences in axillary and terminal umbels ; peduncles up to 3 cm , pubescent ; rays 4-10 ; bracts ± 4 mm , linear ; bracteoles ± 3 mm , linear . Flowers white ; calyx minute ; petals ± 1 mm ; stylopodium conical ; styles 2 , distinct . Fruit ± 2 mm , ovoid to subglobose , ridged , covered with glochidiate hairs . (Ref .
