Inflorescences Umbels strongly contracted in fruit ; rays 30–50 , unequal ; bracts once or twice pinnately divided ; bracteoles of outer partial umbels 3-fid , of the inner entire . Flowers white to purple-tinged ; petals white , often with one or more purple flowers in the central umbel ; styles slender , 0 . 75–1 mm , flexuose-divaricate . Fruit schizocarp , 2–4 mm long , dry , with spiny ridges . (Ref . POWO ; 2023) .
