Pycnocycla prostrata Hedge & Lamond

This species is native to Oman. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 5 known species of Pycnocycla found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Erect perennial herb or shrub ; up to 30 cm in height , unarmed . Stems prostrate , weak , glabrous . Leaves basal , grey-green , deeply segmented , 20-30 x 7-8 mm , segments linear , dentate or entire , puberulus to glabrous ; petiole 2-11(-15) cm . Inflorescences in compact flower heads , 7-10 mm in diameter ; bracts 10-16 , lanceolate to linear ; bracteoles 6-7 , triangular-lanceolate ; pedicel 5-6 mm . Flowers pale pink to white ; calyx ± 1 mm ; petals exceeding the sepals ; styles 2 , distinct . Fruit ± 5 mm , cylindrical , hairy . Seeds tiny . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
