Torilis stocksiana (Boiss.) Drude

This species is native to Arabian Peninsula, extending to Caucasus, Central Asia and Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Torilis occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 10 cm high . Stems procumbent to ± erect , branched from the base , terete , retrorsely setose . Leaves 3-pinnate , with deeply segmented lanceolate lobes , entire , setose ; petiole sheathing at the base . Inflorescences in leaf-apposed umbles , 0 . 8–6 cm ; rays 2–3 , thinly appressed-hairy , short , 0–12 mm , very unequal ; bracts absent ; bracteoles 3-7 , linear , setose . Flowers small , purplish white ; calyx conspicuous , setose ; petals ± 1 mm ; styles 2 , short . Fruit 3-5 mm , cylindrical , setose , with barbellate hairs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 2) .
