Inflorescences arranged in opposite pairs . Flowers white , pink or purple with a dark centre ; corolla tubular , lobes spreading ; stamens included ; anthers 2 . 3–3 mm long , subsessile ; style 16–27 mm long . Fruit follicles , c . 2–4 cm long , narrow , cylindrical , green . Seeds numerous , grooved , black . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
