Ceropegia subaphylla K.Schum.

This species is native to E Ethiopia, extending to Kenya and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Ceropegia found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Perennial herb ; up to 2 m tall , arising from a top-shaped to irregularly rounded tuber . Stems climbing , glaucous , glabrous . Leaves opposite , 5−10 x 2–3 mm , linear , base narrowing , apex acute , margins entire , ciliate , glabrous , falling soon . Inflorescences sessile in 2−5-flowered axillary pedunculate cymes , peduncle up to 4 mm ; pedicels 8−12 mm . Flowers purplish grey blotched on white and then greyish white with darker veins above ; calyx 5- lobed , lobes ± 5 mm , subulate ; corolla tubular , 5-lobed above , 20−28 mm , with a basal globose base and a cylindrical tubular portion expanding into funnel-shaped above , greenish below , purplish grey blotched on white and then greyish white with darker veins above ; basal inflated part of tube 6–8 mm , with purple papillae ; lobes 26–30 mm , linear , margins reflexed , whitish with purple-grey veins and hairs , connivent and then diverging and converging again and fusing to form a second cage 8–11 mm long ; corona in 2 ...
