Desmidorchis awdeliana (Deflers) Meve & Liede

This species is native to S Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 9 species of Desmidorchis found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Clump-forming succulent perennial herb ; up to 30 cm high . Stems erect to ascending , branching from base , angled , grey-green , leafless . Leaves absent . Inflorescences apical , with up to 15 flowers in umbels ; pedicels 6–10 mm . Flowers yellow , with a faint smell ; corolla rotate , yellow , the inner surface of lobes with dark purple spots , ± 10 mm in diameter , tips recurved ; tube 10–13 mm long ; corona green or reddish-brown ; outer surface glabrous , inner surface pubescent , hairs whitish ; lobes erect , filiform . Fruit follicles , 8–10 cm , ovoid , erect , acute , glabrous . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
