Leaves opposite , leathery , glossy , in whorls of 3−5 ; lamina 10−11 × 2−2 . 5 cm , lanceolate , base cuneate , apex acute , margins entire , with prominent midribs , glabrous ; stipules absent . Inflorescences borne in clusters at the end of branches ; pedicels 3−4 mm . Flowers pink , somewhat fragrant , funnel shaped , ± 3 cm across ; calyx 7−8 mm , 5-lobed to 3/4 its length ; lobes lanceolate , 5−6 mm , margins ± hyaline and pale green , pubescent ; corolla funnel-shaped , widest at throat , 5-lobed above , the lobes ± spreading ; tube cylindrical , 5−7 mm , lobes 15 × 20 mm , obovate , with an apiculate or acute tip ; stamens 5 ; filaments short , included .
