Anthemis odontostephana Boiss.

This species is native to Middle East, Central Asia, Pakistan, SE Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is only one species of Anthemis occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 25 cm tall , adpressed-hairy , aromatic . Stems ± erect , branching from the base , weak , basally leafy . Leaves ovate in outline , 10-20 x 5-10 mm , 1-2-pinnatisect , segments linear , acute tip , shortly petiolate . Inflorescences solitary , at the end of the branches , on filiform ± 3-10 cm long peduncles thickened upwards in fruit . Flowers ray flowers 5-6 , pistillate , fertile , white ; disc flowers perfect , yellow , the tubular corolla ± inflated in fruit . Fruit achenes , 2 . 5-3 mm long , cylindric , ± curved , 10-15-ribbed , tuberculate-muricate . Seeds pappus , very inconspicuous , in the ray flower achenes a minute , 10-15-dentate rim , in the disc flower achenes a small , unilateral , oblique , ± lacerate auricle . (Ref .
