Strongly aromatic shrublet ; up to 40 cm tall , greyish-tomentose to glabrescent . Stems with many , rigid , erect to spreading branches . Leaves basal and lower leaves petiolate , rounded in outline , bipinnatisect , 5-16 x 5-12 mm , with lanceolate , obtuse segments to ± 4 mm long ; upper and middle leaves subsessile to sessile , basally auriculate , in the upper floral region palmatisect or linear , entire , subtending floral branches . Inflorescences numerous densely sessile in paniculiform synflorescences . Flowers 3-4(-5) , perfect , tubular , 5-toothed , yellowish to purple . Fruit achenes , ± 1 mm long , obovate . (Ref .
