Atractylis arabica Rech.f.

This species is native to S Iraq, Arabian Peninsula, S Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 3 species of Atractylis found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Perennial herb or subshrub ; up to 50 cm tall . Stems erect or prostrate , branched , slender . Leaves thistle-like , the spines chestnut-brown and with white wooly hairs in the angles of the leaf lobes . Flowers white , 1 . 8 cm long and 8 mm wide ; bracts tipped with chestnut spines .
