Atractylis kentrophylloides (Baker) F.G. Davies

This species is native to S Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 3 species of Atractylis found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Thistle-like subshrub ; up to 30 cm high . Stems densely and shortly branched , white-tomentose . Leaves up to 5 x 2 cm , pinnatifid with spine-tipped lobes , thinly white-tomentose and greyish-green on the lower side . Inflorescences single at the end of the branches . Flowers with pale pink corolla , tubular , perfect . Fruit achenes , obconical , ± 4 mm long , adpressed-villose of hairs much exceeding the achene apex . (Ref . Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
