Flaveria trinervia (Spreng.) C.Mohr

This species is native to Tropical & Subtropical America; introduced and naturalised worldwide. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is only one species of Flaveria occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; to 50 cm high . Stems branched , erect to ± decumbent , often reddish , glabrous . Leaves opposite , 2–8 × 0 . 5–2 cm , ovate or lanceolate to oblanceolate , margins ± serrate , apex acute , attenuate towards the base ; petiole to 2 cm long , connate at base . Inflorescences 1–2-flowered , forming dense axillary clusters , up to 2 cm across and surrounded by leaves , the marginal capitula radiate , the inner discoid . Flowers pale yellow ; ray flower pistillate , ray lamina suborbicular , up to ± 1 mm long ; disc flowers tubular , perfect . Fruit achenes , ± 2 mm long , narrowly obovoid , ribbed , blackish , glabrous . Seeds pappus absent . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
