Garhadiolus hedypnois Jaub. & Spach

This species is native to E Mediterranean, extending to Central Asia and W Himalaya. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is only one species of Garhadiolus occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

An annual spreading herb ; less than 20 cm high , with white latex , pubescent of narrowly triangular hairs . Stems dichotomously branched from near the base . Leaves mostly basal , to 8 × 2 . 5 cm , obovate to spathulate , sinuate-dentate to pinnatifid . Inflorescences with up to 10–12 flowers , in a cymose , rigid synflorescence . Flowers yellow . Fruit achenes , 8–9 mm long , terete , incurved , papillose , the marginal partly enfolded by the inner phyllaries . Seeds pappus , of some minute , 0 . 1–0 . 2 mm long hairs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
