Jurinea berardioides (Boiss.) O.Hoffm

This species is native to E Arabian Peninsula, Iran, extending eastwards to SW Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Jurinea found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Stemless perennial rosette herb . Stems absent . Leaves rosette leaves up to 8 × 4 cm , broadly elliptic to spathulate , entire ; upper surface velutinous and greyish- to purplish-green . Inflorescences sessile , by 4–6 tightly clustered in the centre of the leaf rosette . Flowers whitish , tubular . Fruit achenes , 4–5 mm long , obconical , 4-angular , verrucose . Seeds pappus , ± 10–15 mm long , whitish , caducous , of shortly plumose bristles . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
