Psiadia punctulata Vatke

This species is native to Libya, Eritrea, extending to S Africa, and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Psiadia occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Shrub ; up to 0 . 5–1 high , with smooth , grey bark . Stems much branched , 4–5-angled or -ribbed , with viscid , minutely glandular twigs . Leaves shortly petiolate , with narrowly elliptic , leathery , bright green lamina up to 9 × 2 . 5 cm , becoming sticky vernicose and shiny by touching , with unpleasant scent . Inflorescences in hemispherical groups at the end of the branches . Flowers yellow ; the marginal flowers pistillate and filiform with inconspicuous 2–3-dentate ray lamina ; the inner flowers tubular , perfect but functionally male . Fruit achenes , (of ray flowers) cylindric , ± 1 mm long , ribbed , pubescent . Seeds pappus , 2–3 mm long , of one row of dirty white bristles united at base . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
