A cushion-forming perennial herb or subshrub ; up to 30-50 cm high , densely glandular and with a dense , ash-grey tomentose indumentum . Stems erect , grey-green . Leaves alternate , 1–4 × 0 . 5–1 . 5 cm , grey-green , spathulate to obovate and obtuse to almost cuneate , in upper half coarsely dentate to lobate , attenuate into a petiol-like base as long as or longer than the rest of the lamina , slightly succulent . Inflorescences solitary at the end of the branches . Flowers bright yellow ; ray flowers pistillate , ray lamina 3–4 mm long ; disk flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , ± 1 . 5 mm long , brown with tufts of hair . Seeds pappus , of a corona 0 . 5–0 . 6 mm long and 15–20 flat bristles 3–4 mm long . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
