Subshrub ; up to 70 cm . Stems intricately branched , all younger branches densely white-tomentose , glabrescent . Leaves up to 4 cm long , narrowly lanceolate to narrowly spathulate , the median ones 4–6 mm wide , acute , attenuate into a petiole-like base , white-tomentose , folded along midrib to involute , glabrescent with age . Inflorescences solitary or more frequently by (2–)3 at the end of the branches . Flowers yellow ; all flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , pale brown , ± 2 mm long , cylindric . Seeds pappus , of a corona 0 . 5 mm long and 17–20 flat bristles 4–5 mm long . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
