Woody perennial subshrub ; up to 1 m tall . Stems densely branched , glabrous , glutinous ; old branches grey ; young branches brown , sticky . Leaves alternate , 0 . 5–5 × 0 . 1–0 . 2 cm , dark green , linear , entire , involute , acute , glabrous to sparsely hairy , vernicose , slightly glossy with an aromatic smell . Inflorescences terminal on lefless stalks . Flowers bright yellow ; ray flowers pistillate , ray lamina ± 2 mm long ; disk flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , s 1 . 5–2 mm long , cylindric , brown with tufts of hair at one end . Seeds pappus , of a corona 0 . 1–0 . 3 mm long and 15–20 flat bristles 4–5 mm long . (Ref . In Oman studies: Patzelt (2015) wrote that: "Together with Acridocarpus orientalis (qafas), Pulicaria glutinosa is used as a source of yellow dye to colour goat wool.
