Pulicaria nobilis E.Gamal-Eldin

This species is native to S Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 12 species of Pulicaria found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Cushion forming subshrub ; up to 0 . 5 m tall , white-tomentose . Stems erect . Leaves to < 2 . 5 × 0 . 2–0 . 3 cm , narrowly lanceolate with entire obtuse tip , on both surfaces white-tomentose , glabrescent with age . Inflorescences solitary at the end of the stems or on short branches . Flowers yellow ; ray flowers pistillate , ray lamina ; disk flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , ± 1 mm long , narrowly cylindric . Seeds pappus of a corona 0 . 2 mm long and 10–12 flat bristles , ± 3–4 mm long . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
