Leaves 5–25 × (2)3–7 mm , linear , linear-spathulate to broadly lanceolate , sometimes folded along the midrib or involute , basally attenuate and semiamplexicaul to clasping , papery thin to somewhat fleshy , entire or with a few horny teeth in the distal half or dentate all along the margin , apically acute or rounded , usually mucronate . Inflorescences solitary or by few at the end of leafy branches . Flowers yellow ; ray flowers pistillate , ray lamina ± 2 mm long ; disk flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , ± 1 . 5 mm long , almost cylindric , glabrous to apically and basally weakly hairy . Seeds Pappus of a corona 0 . 1–0 . 5 mm long and 12–20 flat bristles , ± 3 mm long . (Ref .
