Pulicaria undulata (L.) C.A.Mey. subsp. undulata

This subspecies is native to Canary Islands (Gran Canaria), Sahara & Sahel, extending eastwards to India. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 12 species of Pulicaria found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Subshrub ; up to 60 cm high . Stems strongly branched from base ; branches spreading , loosely leafy , white-tomentose and glabrescent . Leaves 0 . 5–5 × 0 . 2–1 . 2 cm , linear-lanceolate to linear-spathulate , with denticulate , strongly undulate margin and auriculate base , greyish tomentose and with brown sessile glands . Inflorescences solitary at the end of the branches , on densely glandulose peduncles . Flowers yellow ; ray flowers pistillate , ray lamina 1–1 . 5 mm long ; disk flowers perfect , tubular . Fruit achenes , 0 . 5–1 mm long , cylindric . Seeds pappus of a corona of 0 . 3–0 . 4 mm long scales connate to 7–10 bristles , 2–3 mm long , both caducous together as a whole . (Ref .
