Leaves simple , opposite , 22−75 x 5−15 mm , pale green , linear-oblong to elliptic oblong , apex obtuse or emarginate , base tapering , margins entire , undulate ; petiole 5−10 mm , pale yellow-green . Inflorescences in 1−8-flowered corymbose-racemes ; bracts linear , stellate pubescent ; bracteoles 2 ; pedicel 7−12 mm , pubescent . Flowers large , showy , orange , trumpet shaped ; calyx 8−12 mm , campanulate , unequally 5-lobed ; lobes obtuse , apiculate , minutely and sparsely glandular-pubescent ; corolla bright orange to orange , 50−60 mm , funnel-shaped ; tube 28−30 mm , lobes 20−25 mm , suborbicular ; stamens 4 ; staminode shorter than stamens ; disc cupular , 5-lobed ; style beyond the stamens ; stigmas 2 , compressed .
