Perennial herb ; up to 45 cm tall , with a ± woody base . Stems erect to ascending , branched , covered with adpressed disc-based hairs and sessile to stalked glandular hairs . Leaves alternate , 11–36 × 3–7 mm , oblanceolate , base cuneate to attenuate , apex acute , closely appressed to the stem , covered with disc-based hairs . Inflorescences in erect cymes ; pedicels 1–1 . 5 mm . Flowers blue , rarely white , zygomorphic ; calyx about half as long as the corolla tube , 5-lobed , lobes ± unequal , ± free , 3–5 mm , one of the abaxial ones largest , adpressed disc-based hairy and densely glandular ; corolla blue , rarely white , 8–9 mm , zygomorphic , obliquely trumpet-shaped ; tube 5–6 . 5 mm , hairy and glandular , limb with spreading rounded lobes ; stamens attached at throat at different heights ; anthers included . Fruit nutlets , ± 2 mm , ovoid , with a rostrate apex , keeled on the ventral side , tuberculate , reddish-brown to light brown , 2–4 developing . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
