Leaves alternate , 1–5 × 0 . 5–2 cm , elliptic , obovate to oblong-elliptic , base cuneate , apex rounded to shortly mucronate , margins entire to undulate , coriaceous , pubescent ; petiole up to 2 cm . Inflorescences mostly in terminal heads , 3-7 cm long , up to 30-flowered . Flowers pale pink or white , sweet-scented , hermaphrodite ; calyx deeply 5-lobed ; lobes imbricate , ± 2 mm , ovate to elliptic , puberulous , ciliate ; corolla pale pink or white , tube ± 4 mm , 5-lobed ; limb 3–5 mm , oblong to narrow triangular , spreading ; stamens exserted ; styles 2 , terminal .
