Euploca rariflora (Stocks) Diane & Hilger

This species is native to Sahara, extending to Tanzania, Arabian Peninsula and NW India. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 3 species of Euploca found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Stems erect to ascending , densely branched , whitish-green to grey-green , covered with adpressed white hairs throughout ; bark silvery , flaking . Leaves alternate , 8–25 × 1–2 mm , sessile , greyish-green , linear to linear-lanceolate , base shortly cuneate , apex acute , margins entire , adpressed white hairy . Inflorescences terminal ; flowers in lax cymes with leaves reduced to bracts , 2–4 mm , lanceolate , or bracts absent .
