Stems erect to ascending to decumbent , much branched , whitish-green to grey-green , covered with adpressed white hairs throughout ; bark whitish , flaking . Leaves alternate , 5–11 × 1–1 . 5 mm , greyish-green , linear-lanceolate , base shortly cuneate , apex acute , margins entire , often revolute , adpressed white hairy ; petiole ± 1 mm . Inflorescences terminal , bracteate ; flowers in unilateral terminal cymes (appearing spike-like) ; bracts ± 2 mm , linear-lanceolate ; pedicels 0–1 mm . Flowers small , white , subsessile ; calyx 5-lobed , persistent ; lobes free to base , unequal , 1 . 5–2 mm , lanceolate , densely adpressed hairy ; corolla white , sometimes with a 4mm , ovate-oblong , acute ; stamens attached to the corolla tube ; stigma conical . Fruit nutlets , 4 , c . 1 . 5 x 1 . 5 mm , ovoid , pubescent on the back with a cavity on inner face . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 3) .
