Leaves with the lowest pair opposite , then alternate , 0 . 5–20 × 1 . 5–2 mm , lanceolate , base cuneate to attenuate , apex acute , densely covered with disc-based hairs . Inflorescences in terminal cymes , erect ; pedicels ± 1 mm . Flowers white , regular , ± tubular , only one flower opening at a time ; calyx about as long as the corolla , 5-lobed , lobes free , ± unequal , 2–4 mm , narrow lanceolate , adpressed disc-based hairy ; corolla white , regular , 2–2 . 5 mm , ± tubular ; tube ± 1 . 5 mm , with an invagination below each corolla lobe , 6–9 mm , glabrous ; limb 5-lobed ; stamens attached at equal heights ; anthers included ; ovary 4-lobed ; style gynobasic , stigmas 2 , globose .
