Leaves grey-green ; basal leaves 5–15 × 1–5 mm , lanceolate to oblanceolate , base cuneate , apex obtuse to acute , margins entire , densely covered with adpressed to spreading hairs ; cauline leaves smaller and narrower . Inflorescences in one-sided racemes , bracteate ; pedicels 1 . 5–3 mm , deflexed in fruit . Flowers pale blue ; calyx 4–5 mm , 5-lobed to base , lobes oblong , exceeding the nutlets , pubescent , incurved in fruit ; corolla pale blue , 2 mm , campanulate , lobes obtuse ; style gynobasic . Fruit nutlets , placed obliquely , tuberculate .
