Capsella bursa-pastoris (L.) Medik.

This species is native to Temperate Eurasia, extending to N Africa; introduced elsewhere. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Capsella occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Leaves with basal leaves in a rosette , 2 . 5–6×1–2 cm , narrowly obovate in outline , pinnatipartite to dentate or entire , shortly petiolate up to 0 . 5-4(-6) cm ; upper leaves smaller , oblong to ovate , dentate to entire , base amplexicaul with acute auricles . Inflorescences in racemes ; pedicels usually straight , (0 . 3-)0 . 5-1 . 5(-2) cm , glabrous . Flowers white , small , 2 . 5 mm in diameter ; sepals not saccate ; petals 2–2 . 5 mm , white ; stamens 6 ; filaments 1-2 mm ; anthers to 0 . 5 mm . Fruit silicula , 5–10×4–6mm , obcordate , laterally compressed , dehiscent ; valves keeled , up to 30-seeded . Seeds 0 . 9-1 . 1 × 0 . 4-0 . 6 mm , brown . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
