Clypeola aspera Turrill

This species is native to E Central & SE Türkiye, extending to Central Asia, W Pakistan and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Clypeola found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Delicate annual herb ; up to 20 cm high . Stems simple or branched , with stellate hairs . Leaves 5–20×1–3 mm , sessile , lanceolate to spatulate , apex acute , base tapering . Inflorescences in 20-50-flowered racemes , lax . Flowers yellow to white ; sepals ± 1 mm ; petals ± 1 . 5 mm , yellow to white ; stamens 6 , filaments toothed . Fruit siliqua , pendulous , 3 . 5–4 . 5 mm in diameter , suborbicular , without a pale margin , emarginate , densely covered with stiff , minutely barbulate hairs . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
