Erect annual or short-lived perennial herb ; up to 60 cm high , with long spreading hairs throughout . Stems erect , branched mainly from the base . Leaves 2-8 x 1-4 cm , forms a basal rosette , ovate to obovate to broadly obovate , apex obtuse , base tapering into a short petiole , margins serrate to irregularly serrate to entire ; upper leaves similar to lower ones , but smaller in size ; at lower altitudes they are hairy but nearly smooth at high altitudes . Inflorescences borne at the end of long erect stalks . Flowers bright yellow , mildly fragrant ; sepals spreading ; petals 6-10 mm , bright yellow . Fruit siliqua , 25-40 x 4 mm , linear , narrow , with a beak hanging down . Seeds c . 1 . 2 mm long , ellipsoid , light red brown , smooth . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
