Erucaria hispanica (L.) Druce

This species is native to E Mediterranean, extending to Iran and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Erucaria found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Erect annual herb ; up to 60 cm tall . Stems branching from the base , glabrous . Leaves somewhat fleshy , the basal leaves subrosulate , 1–2-pinnatisect , lobes linear , petiolate . Inflorescences in 30-40-flowered racemes . Flowers lilac to mauve ; petals 10–12 mm . Fruit siliqua , 10–15 mm , 2-jointed , erect , straight , abruptly narrowing at the tip into a filiform style ; lower joint readily or tardily dehiscent , 1-3-seeded . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
