Woody based perennial herb or subshrub ; up to 30–100 cm tall . Stems branched , grey-green , densely pubescent , medifixed hairs . Leaves 10–60×1–3 mm , linear to linear-elliptic , obtuse , base cuneate into the petiole , margin entire . Inflorescences in 5-10-flowered racemes , elongating to 10 cm in fruit ; pedicels erect , 2-3 . 5 mm , elongating to 6 mm in fruit . Flowers white to grey-violet ; sepals 10–12 mm , not saccate ; petals 17–20 mm , white to grey-violet , clawed with a truncate or a marginate apex ; stamens 6 , 6-12 mm ; stigma decurrent . Fruit silicula , 16–25×6–8 mm , compressed , oblong-elliptic , dehiscent ; valves firm ; septum membranous , opaque or translucent . Seeds 1 . 2-2 mm across , winged . (Ref .
