Lepidium aucheri Boiss.

This species is native to E Mediterranean, extending to Pakistan and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 4 species of Lepidium found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 30 cm high . Stems ascending to prostrate , much-branched from the base , glabrous or with scattered hairs . Leaves up to 10 cm , pinnately-lobed with oblong ± rounded lobes or subentire with occasional obtuse teeth . Inflorescences in dense racemes , up to 10 cm long in fruit ; pedicel c . 1 . 5 mm long . Flowers white , small , c . 2 mm across ; sepals c . 1 mm long , oblong , suborbicular , not saccate ; petals white , 1–2 mm ; stamens 6 , c . 1 . 2-1 . 4 mm long ; anthers minute . Fruit silicula , 2–3×1–2 mm long , erect , ovate to quadrangular , acutely winged or horned at the tip , notched at the apex , stigma protruding in the notch but not exceeding the wings . Seeds c . 1 mm long , oblong , pale brown . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
