Lepidium draba L.

This species is native to Europe, extending to N & E China, N Africa, eastwards to Arabian Peninsula; introduced and naturalised elsewhere. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 4 species of Lepidium found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Perennial herb ; up to 60 cm tall . Stems erect , much-branched above , clothed with short appressed hairs . Leaves simple , 8–12×1–4 cm , basal leaves obovate to spatulate , petiolate ; upper leaves sessile , amplexicaul , decreasing in size upwards , margins dentate to entire . Inflorescences in corymbose racemes . Flowers white ; sepals not saccate ; petals white , 3–4 mm . Fruit silicula , 4–5×3–4 mm , cordate , with reticulate veins , indehiscent . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
