Leptaleum filifolium (Willd.) DC.

This species is native to E Mediterranean, extending to Xinjiang, Pakistan and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Leptaleum occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual herb ; up to 10(-18) cm high . Stems prostrate or ascending , much-branched from the base , glabrous or thinly hairy . Leaves up to 6 cm ; segments filiform . Inflorescences axillary , solitary or in 2-4-flowered racemes ; pedicels 1-4(-10) mm , slender or stout , straight , puberulent . Flowers pink or white , no scent ; sepals oblong-linear to linear , (2 . 5-)3-4(-5) × 0 . 5-0 . 7 mm , erect , apically puberulent ; petals linear , pink or white , 6-10 mm ; filaments white , filiform , 2 . 5-5 mm ; anthers oblong , 0 . 5-0 . 6 mm . Fruit silicula , 12-22(-30)×2-3 mm , linear , compressed , often crowded at the base ; valves puberulent or subglabrous . Seeds 0 . 6-0 . 9(-1 . 2) × 0 . 4-0 . 5 mm , ovoid or suboblong , yellow or light brown . (Ref . Miller & Cope ; 1996) .
