Morettia parviflora Boiss.

This species is native to Egypt, extending to Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There are 2 species of Morettia found in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Woody-based annual or perennial herb ; up to 30(-40) cm high , covered in white hairs throughout . Stems ascending , canescent , branching from the base , grey-green , densely pubescent with soft stellate hairs . Leaves 1–4×1–2 cm , grey-green , ovate to elliptic , acute , base attenuating into a short petiole , margins entire or with a few teeth . Inflorescences borne terminally . Flowers small , white with yellow centres ; sepals 2–3 mm , not saccate ; petals 4–5 mm . Fruit siliqua , 10–22×1–1 . 5 mm , curved , transversely septate , with the persistent indurated style and stigmas at the apex . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
