Physorhynchus chamaerapistrum (Boiss.) Boiss.

This species is native to Arabian Peninsula, extending to W & S Iran, eastwards to SW Pakistan. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Physorhynchus occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Annual or short-lived perennial herb ; up to 70–100 cm , glaucous . Stems ascending to erect , branched . Leaves alternate , 3–8×2–5 cm , thick and somewhat fleshy ; lower leaves large , ovate-oblong , entire margins , petiolate ; upper leaves smaller oblong , sessile , amplexicaul , clasp the stem . Inflorescences in 12–20-flowered , lax racemes . Flowers about 20 mm across , purple with darker veins ; inner sepals somewhat saccate ; petals 12–15 mm . Fruit silicula , 10–15 mm , 2-jointed , the upper segment subglobose with a conical beak , indehiscent . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .

In Omani studies: Pickering & Patzelt (2008) wrote that: "Powdered seeds mixed with milk are said to remove warts. Favoured as a fodder by goats". (Ref. Field Guide to the Wild Plants of Oman; 2008).
