Savignya parviflora (Delile) Webb

This species is native to N Africa, extending eastwards to Pakistan and Arabian Peninsula. (Ref. POWO; 2023). There is one species of Savignya occurs in Oman. (Ref. Oman Botanic Garden).

Erect annual herb ; up to 40 cm high . Stems ascending to erect , branched from the base , with simple or glandular hairs . Leaves 2–5×1–2 cm ; lower leaves obovate-oblong , margins dentate ; upper leaves linear , margins entire . Inflorescences in 10-25-flowered racemes , up to 15 cm long in fruit ; pedicel 8-12 mm long , filiform , increasing up to 20 mm in fruit , often reflexed or pendent . Flowers c . 5 mm across , white to pink ; Sepals 2 . 5-3 mm long , 1-1 . 5 mm broad ; petals 3–5 mm ; stamens c . 2 . 5-3 mm long ; anthers c . 0 . 5 mm long . Fruit silicula , 7–12×5–7 mm , broadly elliptic , compressed , stipitate , dehiscent , septum membranous , fruit on along slender pedicel , pendulous ; beak 1 . 5-2(-2 . 5) mm ; stipe c . 1 mm . Seeds usually c . 10 in each locule , 2 . 5-3 mm (incl . the wing) in diameter , biseriate . (Ref . Flora of Oman ; vol . 1) .
